Mr Adam Gaunt is an ear, nose and throat (ENT) consultant and head and neck surgeon working across Kent and Sussex.
He provides head and neck cancer services as well as thyroid and parathyroid surgery expertise at Medway Maritime Hospital, and also undertakes major surgery for head and neck and thyroid cancer in East Grinstead as a consultant at Queen Victoria Hospital.
Mr Gaunt has performed over 2,000 ENT operations throughout his training and over 200 major head and neck resections as a fellow and consultant.
He is a fellowship trained ENT surgeon with an interest in head and neck surgical oncology and in general ENT. His fellowship training in head and neck surgery has given him a deep understanding of oropharyngeal, laryngeal, salivary gland and thyroid disorders, both malignant and benign.
Mr Gaunt developed an interest in head and neck oncology while training across the East of England and the East Midlands, and undertook a fellowship in Head and Neck surgical oncology at University Hospitals Sheffield as nationally appointed Royal College of Surgeons Interface Head and Neck Fellow.
This experience gave him exposure to the full range of head and neck surgery gaining expertise alongside maxillofacial, plastic and endocrine surgeons in one of the UK’s largest specialist cancer centres.
