Alex Phillips is a specialist chartered musculoskeletal (MSK) and pelvic health physiotherapist with almost 20 years' clinical experience in the NHS and private sector.

After completing her degree at the University of Birmingham in 2005, she practised at the Royal Free Hospital London, where she specialised in MSK and Pelvic Health. From there she moved to a split post in an NHS community centre in Chelsea and Westminster alongside beginning her transition to private practice as an associate physiotherapist in an independent clinic.

Alongside this work, she has worked at Nuffield Gym, harnessing her MSK skills and using the gym for rehabilitating post-operative orthopaedic patients. She have volunteered in rugby and football clubs and have worked in a paediatric community physiotherapy team in Tunbridge Wells.

Alexa's passion has been developing her highly specialist role in pelvic health, having undertaken postgraduate specialist training in Pilates under the APPI, Treating and Training the Female Athlete under the internationally acclaimed Julie Wiebe and female pelvic health qualifications as an affiliate member of the POGP (Pelvic Obstetric and Gynaecology Physiotherapy).

Her extensive knowledge in this field enables her to treat problems of the pelvic floor and pelvis including pregnancy-related aches and pains, and treat gynaecology conditions such as pelvic organ prolapse, urinary incontinence and persistent pelvic pain conditions.

Alexa strives to provide evidence-based high quality and effective treatment. Balancing a hands-on approach and exercise prescription. Complementing her orthopaedic and pelvic health work, she has recently qualified in scar therapy with ‘Restore Therapy’ offering direct treatment for surgical scars addressing scar mobility, sensation and  aesthetics.
