Professional profile

Dr James Cook qualified from King’s College London School of Medicine in 2011. He undertook his specialist training in South London and Kent. This included advanced intensive care training at King’s College and St Georges’ hospitals. He also completed an advanced fellowship in obstetric anaesthesia.

Alongside his specialist training James also undertook a Master’s degree in Major Trauma Sciences at Queen Mary, University of London, which he passed with Merit in 2015.

James was appointed as a Consultant in Anaesthesia and Intensive Care Medicine at Maidstone and Tunbridge Wells NHS Trust in 2022.

Alongside his specialist interests in intensive care medicine and anaesthesia he also has an active interest in medical education.
