Mr Loren Charles is a consultant orthopaedic surgeon specialising in adult hip, knee and foot disorders. He provides an expert and personal service, using the best techniques to deliver an excellent outcome for his patients.
He performs keyhole knee surgery such as meniscectomy and microfracture. For more advanced arthritis, he offers knee and hip replacements.
He also has a specialist interest in treating foot pain and deals with many common conditions such as bunions, toe deformity, Morton’s neuroma and plantar fasciitis.
Mr Charles follows enhanced recovery and rehabilitation protocols and works closely with allied professionals to ensure patients return to normal as quickly as possible. He has very good patient feedback and satisfaction.
In 2004 he graduated from UCL Medical School, having also obtained a Bachelor of Science degree. He also has a Master’s in Trauma and Orthopaedics and completed his orthopaedic training in this region, qualifying from the London Deanery.
Mr Charles was awarded The Charnley Latta Scholarship and completed an internationally renowned Fellowship at St Michael’s Hospital in Toronto, where he undertook specialist training with leading surgeons in hip and knee surgery and gained exposure to the latest techniques in foot surgery. On his return to England her joined Dartford and Gravesham NHS Trust as a lower limb orthopaedic surgeon and works at both Darent Valley and Queen Mary’s hospitals.
