Mr Matyas Fehervari is a consultant surgeon with expertise in upper gastrointestinal, general surgery, and endoscopy.
He offers tailored, minimally invasive treatment for conditions such as acid reflux, gallstones, hernias, and obesity. His calm manner, clear communication, and patient-first approach are valued by those in his care.
He performs a broad range of procedures, including hernia and gallbladder surgery, anti-reflux operations, diagnostic and therapeutic endoscopy, and selected weight-loss interventions. He specialises in laparoscopic (keyhole) techniques that promote faster recovery and reduced discomfort.
Mr Fehervari holds a full-time NHS consultant post at Maidstone and Tunbridge Wells NHS Trust.
He trained in London through the North West London academic programme, in partnership with Imperial College London.
He later completed a Royal College of Surgeons fellowship in anti-reflux and bariatric surgery, alongside travel fellowships at the Mayo Clinic (USA) and the University of Strasbourg (France).
He holds a PhD in Clinical Surgery and two Master’s degrees. An active researcher and educator, he leads undergraduate surgical teaching at the Kent and Medway Medical School and is a nationally accredited endoscopy trainer.
Outside work, Matyas enjoys cycling, running, fishing, and time outdoors with his family.
