Dr Neal Chhaya completed his general medical training in London acquiring MBBS with honours. He also earned a BSc in Applied Anatomy for which he was awarded a First and received the Hunter Prize from the University of London.
He undertook Radiology training at the Royal Free Hospital and then double Fellowship training in his particular areas of subspecialty interest. This included a Fellowship in Breast Imaging at the Royal Free and the North London Screening Unit at Edgware.
This was followed by the highly competitive and extremely prestigious Fellowship in Musculoskeletal Imaging and Intervention in Vancouver, Canada.
Dr Chhaya was appointed as a consultant at Maidstone and Tunbridge Wells NHS Trust in 2014. He holds multiple professional memberships including Royal College of Radiologists, British Society of Breast Radiologists, the Radiological Society of North America (RSNA) and has been invited to join the illustrious British Society of Skeletal Radiologists.
As well as taking a role in postgraduate and trainee education, he has served as the Trust's first REALM (Radiology Events and Learning Meetings) chair.
